Hello, my name is Billy (wilcosky . com). I’ve been obsessed with website development since around 2002. I’m often putting projects out there because it’s fun for me to create and manage anything website related. I’m not proud of it. It’s a tiring hobby at times. As you may know, getting folks to join a random niche/small/indie website with no marketing budget is… near impossible.
I don’t know if this community would need this because I would think that many here self host things like kanboard and so a service like this wouldn’t be needed for y’all. But, for small businesses I’ve put up kantanban.com which just gives new users a fairly default kanboard instance.
Yes, I’m charging if you need more than 3 users. I know, lame. But, web hosting isn’t free.
In the footer I clearly state that it’s just kanboard with a link to kanboard.org. I don’t want to fool anyone. Just providing a quick way for people to have a simple project management tool. The big guys are very expensive for a small business. And sometimes a small business doesn’t want to deal with installing something themselves no matter how easy it may seem to be.
Also, I only decided to do this because someone posted on LinkedIn about how expensive Asana is for a small business. My wife said, “you should build a project management tool for small businesses.” Well, I didn’t have to build a ton since kanboard exists.
