MySQL/MariaDB vs PostgreSQL

This is my first post on this forum, so greeting to everyone!

I would like to try Kanboard on my VPS. There are already 3 applications there which are using MySQL/MariaDB and only 1 application is using PostgreSQL. So I plan to use Kanboard with PostgreSQL.

Amongst those 2 database servers, which one works best with Kanboard? Or which one gives more problems than the other?

both just work. :smiley:

there is pretty much only a difference if you use sqlite, and even then only if the amount of tasks gets too high.

If you just want an opinion, PostgreSQL is my favorite, and if it is well supported by an open source project then it is the one I always choose, otherwise MariaDB server is good too.
