Update error with the Moon plugin

Hello,

we would like to update to the current kanboard version, but unfortunately we can’t get any further because the “Moon” plugin throws an error. The following error is displayed:

Warning: filemtime(): stat failed for C:\Program Files\xampp\htdocs\kanboard/assets/css/app.min.css in C:\Program Files\xampp\htdocs\kanboard\app\Helper\AssetHelper.php on line 41

Is there a solution for this? Or an idea how we can fix this?

Thank you very much,
Andreas

Hm, where has my reply gone? Again:

0. Please tell some more details concerning your installation

  1. In which situation do you see the Error Messages?
  2. Already tested whether your observations are caused by some bad interactions between Moon and other plugins?

This no longer exists. It should be (auto|light|dark).min.css.
Make sure you use the latest Moon plugin.

Great, thanks for the quick answers.

We have kanboard in version 1.2.30 :frowning: and Moon in version 1.4.6 and finally wanted to update. So if we change “app.min.css” to e.g. dark.min.css could the update perhaps work?

Thank you very much,
Andreas

Beware! I just verified installation Kanboard 1.2.30 with Moon 1.4.6. Everything works out of the box.

EDIT: You can try to add a symbolic link pointing to auto.min.css:

$ cd assets/css
$ sudo ln -s auto.min.css app.min.css
$ ls -l *.css
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root     root        12 May 27 20:00 app.min.css -> auto.min.css
-rw-rw-r-- 1 www-data www-data 46046 Jun  3  2023 auto.min.css
-rw-rw-r-- 1 www-data www-data 42607 Jun  3  2023 dark.min.css
-rw-rw-r-- 1 www-data www-data 41840 Jun  3  2023 light.min.css
-rw-rw-r-- 1 www-data www-data   390 Jun  3  2023 print.min.css
-rw-rw-r-- 1 www-data www-data 82329 Jun  3  2023 vendor.min.css

We have now solved it as follows with your advice:
– updated all plugins
– update from 1.2.30 to 1.2.36
– error after update incl. troubleshooting => Moon plugin was probably the trigger
– created an empty file with the name “auto.min.css”
– small adjustments made using customiser (logo etc.)
– seems to work like this

Many thanks for the great support.

This is not what I told you to do. Where did you create this file?
I strongly doubt that this is a real solution. If one of your users selects Auto under his theme settings, he will definitely be out of luck.

The missing file was app.min.css, which is missing in newer Kanboard versions. But auto.min.css is present and required!

Hello everyone,

Thank you very much for the helpful tips. Unfortunately, we now have more errors, such as

This is not Moon related, please split into a new thread.
And BTW, supply more information about your Installation.
