Doesn’t this mean entering the shutdown of the discourse forum here? I desperately hope this will never be the case!
IMHO, splitting places for related discussions was and will never be a good idea. Personally, even if I still have a GitHub account for legacy reasons, I do not plan to join any discussions there.
Agreed, I cross-posted out of confusion. Dont know where to look for help anymore so I will post in both places.
I understand, but I wouldn’t do that. As soon as there is any activity, the community will grow, and we shall get closer to a migration. Just my 2 cents.
I would also be in favor of bundling all discussions here in the forum.
The entry threshold is lower. And we’re not pulling this apart. And one does not need two accounts.
I would close this on Github and promote the forum there.
My2cents.

Fully agree, but I think this won’t happen. I assume the hosting of this forum costs some money, GitHub pages are for free. Best is to simply ignore the forked discussion on GitHub.
If everything goes wrong, we still could use the existing IRC channel, create another an XMPP- or Matrix-room.
I’m relatively new here, but could it be that development is somewhat disconnected from users?
I also find it strange that there is so little going on here.
Then another channel is to be opened, which also requires another account and will only cause confusion especially for “non-programmers”.
I do not quite understand this.
Kanboard has substance. But the marketing is just very, very bad.
It starts with the standard interface goes over to a very old fashioned website and doesn’t stop with the stepmotherly forum.
This is a great pity and would be so easy to change.
Fully agree with you. But to clarify: I want to remain here, on the one and only (official) community channel for Kanboard.
That’s also what i think and what i will do. I will not join discussions on Github.
Chat? Maybe. btw: How can that be reached?
But the forum should be the one stop solution. Maybe beside programming issues (Github)

There is no plan to shut down this forum at the moment. I just enabled GitHub Discussions to try it out. That’s all.
Thanks for this, good to know.
